Surviving the Demise of Estate Tax Planning

Nationally recognized attorney and speaker, Vincent J. Russo will present planning strategies for families following recent changes to the federal estate tax law and pending changes to the New York State estate tax system. Vincent will explore how estate planning is changing and the role of elder law and special needs planning in an increasingly challenging world. Vincent will share his experiences and thoughts on a practical approach to developing and expanding the traditional estate planning practice into a practice that extends to long term care planning and planning for individuals with special needs.  The goals of this presentation are to assist advisors in understanding the long range effects of tax law changes on traditional trust and estate planning practices, identifying long term care and special needs issues, and understanding the common strategies used to address these issues in a way that will bring enhanced value to their practices.
