Family Business & Wealth Transition Planning: Dealing with the “Soft Stuff”

After all your years as a professional advisor you know about the importance of emotion and relationships.  Some of the best plans never get made or if they do, they don’t get implemented.  Not because they don’t make good sense but because some emotional or interpersonal issues stall it.  The Soft Stuff!

You work around it and deal with it as best you can, but walking into the emotional “fire” or the interpersonal “stall” is not your training or comfort zone.  This program will identify frequently occurring planning interrupters, offer some ways of addressing them and/or knowing when and where to get the help to move you and your clients along.

        Learning Objectives:

             1. Participants will be challenged: To think beyond the numbers & the technical tasks

              2. Understand the idea & value of Emotional and Interpersonal Due Diligence

              3. Leave with some options for better management of the soft stuff dilemmas

Registration and breakfast begin at 7:30 A.M., with the program from 7:45 to 9:00 A.M.  Tickets may be bought online or made via check, simply follow the instructions on the attached 5.23.17 Reply Card.  Members or first-time guest tickets are $25, non-member tickets are $50.

In a separate event, EPC members may attend the FPA NENY Annual Symposium on May 18, 2017 at member price. Details are HERE and Registration is HERE

Lastly, May marks Our Chapter's Annual Meeting where a vote will be taken for the 2017/18 Officers and new Director slate.

As always, please let us know of any questions.  Thank you!
