The program will explain the ongoing project to enact a modern trust code for New York and the New York version of the Uniform Directed Trust Act.  Present New York trust law along with proposed changes will be discussed. Based on present New York trust law and proposed changes, planning and drafting implications will be considered.  Learning objectives fot this presentation are:

            1. Learning present New York trust law

            2. Learning how to plan based on present and proposed trust law

            3. Learning how to draft based on present and proposed trust law
